Who Can Get a Learner's Permit
In Oklahoma, you must be at least 15.5 years old to apply for a learner's permit. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign your application to consent to the permit issuance.
Driver education: Driver education is not required (unless under 16, where parent-taught driver ed is accepted). Oklahoma does not require driver education if you apply at age 15½ or older, though it is recommended.

Fees and What You Pay For

Visiting the DMV

What the Written Test Covers

Passing Score & Results
The test contains 50 questions. You must answer at least 40 questions correctly to pass, which represents a score of 80%.
If You Don't Pass

After You Pass
Once you pass the vision screening and written knowledge test, you will receive a temporary paper permit, and your official plastic learner's permit card will be mailed to your state address.
